From the highlands of the Gedeo Zone in southern Ethiopia — the nation where coffee itself was born — this lot is grown in the Yirgacheffe micro-region. Above 1,900 m, volcanic soils and a gentle 15 – 25°C climate shape beans of rare aromatic clarity.

Grown by various smallholders and gathered through the Konga cooperative society, the coffee is made from indigenous Ethiopian Heirloom varietals and naturally processed — sun-dried on raised African beds so the cherry lends its full sweetness and aroma.

In the cup you'll find a bright, distinctly floral aroma opening into intense and complex flavours — delicate stone fruit, a lift of bergamot, and a wash of ripe berries — all carried on a medium to pointed acidity that keeps every sip vivid and clean.

This is a coffee that rewards a lighter hand: a light-to-medium roast, medium-fine grind, and a pour-over will lift its floral top notes and citrus brightness.  It makes an expressive, aromatic filter and a lively espresso.

Origin lovers will appreciate the traceability here — smallholder farms, a volcanic terroir with pH-balanced soils, and a heritage micro-region.
